Honeywell's MICRO SWITCH CPS Series Cable-Pull Safety Switches provide a readily accessible emergency stop signal, offering a cost-effective solution compared to multiple emergency stop push-buttons. The CPS Series features an internal mechanism that latches on both slackened (push) and pulled cable conditions.
The 1CPS Series is designed for applications with cable spans up to 76 m (250 ft), making it ideal for shorter runs or zone protection in automated systems. For longer conveyor lines up to 152 m (500 ft), the 2CPS Series is available.
The system includes a visual tension indicator and direct-opening switch contacts that remain closed when properly tensioned. When the cable is pulled, slackened, or broken, the NC (Normally Closed) contacts open immediately and remain latched until manually reset.
